How Fast A Digital Enquiry Has To Be Processed To Increase The Conversion Rate In Higher Education?

November 19th, 2020 Online MBA

Digital inquiries are generated from various sources in the higher education market. Either it can be an email inquiry or sometimes through the submission of online admission form on the official website.Sometimes visitors get attracted on seeing an exciting offer or a fee discount and immediately submits an enquiry over the internet. And sometimes, students happen to see the news and events on the official Facebook page and immediately drops a Facebook message. Sometimes inquiries come in through the digital campaigns.Or even sometimes people make enquiries to many colleges at the same time and wait for a call back.

Efficient CRM

So likewise,we understand that the sources of digital inquiry are different and numerous too. Either it can be submitting an admission form or requesting a call back or dropping Facebook message or demanding for a brochure or through an email. Even if the sources are different there should be a proper platform where all of these inquiries are collected or aggregated which is nothing else but the CRM(Customer Relationship Management).

While making an enquiry not all the customers have the potential to remember all the features of the college and the course inquired for. Sometimes they would have dropped an inquiry to more than 10 colleges at the same time. The product memorizing capacity is less for all the users across the internet because internet is a market place where more than thousands of products exist with similar features.

Diligence attract more conversions

So, if an inquiry is dropped, it has to be properly channelized to the CRM and has to be processed as fast as possible. The later you are to process, the faster the chance of loosing a conversion. If you are able to connect the person in real time as soon as the inquiry is made, the more he remembers about the college/course. He would be happy for the immediate response from your end. In these scenarios the conversion rate will be higher than expected.

Whereas if you contact the person after one week of the inquiry, he might not even remember you and sometimes might have associated with some other college during the mean time.

From my past experience there is a close relationship between the conversion rate and time elapsed for processing the inquiries. If the time elapsed is less than 10 min to process an inquiry, the more better. The relevance of data is in its freshness. So, take care to process the inquiries as soon as they are raised. Don’t give others a chance to creep into your business by not processing your data in time.
